Florence marks our first stop in Italy over the course of our trip. We had been anxious to get to Italy ever since we left the US due to the high volume of delicious food that exists within the country. Sure we were also excited to explore the beautiful city of Florence but we were also very interested in eating as much food as humanly possible while in Italy. We only had two and a half days in Florence so we tried to explore as much of the city as we could. Below are some of my favorite pictures from our stay.

Location: Piazza del Duomo, Florence
Below is a section solely dedicated to the food we enjoyed during our stay in Florence. Brace yourselves.
Right when we arrived, we decided to hit a restaurant called Il Latini that was recommended to us by a few friends who were familiar with the city. It was a five-course meal consisting of bread, wine, salad, various meats, three different pastas, a massive florentine steak, and a piece of chocolate cake to cap the dinner off. After the meal, we could barely move.

Some of their house red wine.

Caprese salad accompanied by salami and prosciutto.

Melon to accompany the prosciutto.

Below, are a few pictures from my most favorite pizza shop I've ever been to called Pizzeria Toto'. If you are in Florence, you have to stop by. It's the freshest and most delicious pizza I've ever eaten.
