Copenhagen marks the first stop of our trip. This is a place I've always wanted to come and a place that was so hard to leave. Below are some of the best memories we had during our stay.

Over the course of our trip we are staying at a mix of hostels, hotels, and Airbnb's. We stayed at Danhostel (pictured above) in the heart of Copenhagen. Our group included Riker McClaskey, Jack O'Neill, Luke McDade, and myself. We all stayed in a 6 bedroom mixed dorm on the 10th floor. One of the most interesting things about the city was the architecture. It's a mix of older styles from hundreds of years ago as well as new, modern styles for the current age. These conflicting styles can be seen in the photo above.

This was a walk we did daily from our hostel to a coffee shop that we became frequent customers at.

This was taken shortly after arrival at our favorite coffee shop. We quickly all became fans of drinking espressos in the outdoor seating area, which was a prime location for people watching.

Shortly after hitting the Espresso House, we decided to go grab a beer and some food near the University of Copenhagen. This is one of many of the historic streets throughout Copenhagen.

This was our appetizer our very first night at dinner. We ordered this gem at a place called Paludan Bog & Cafe. Needless to say, it tasted unbelievable.

Later that evening we stopped at this tap house called Mikkellar for a beer. It was a small local place that was filled with all different types of craft beers from around the area.

The next morning we decided to go try a brunch restaurant near the canal. They only had traditional Danish cuisine so we thought we would give it a try. Below are some close ups of some of our favorite dishes.

Our trip to Christiania is something I'll never forget. Such a different world and one of the most interesting places I've ever been. The district of Christiania is a self-proclaimed autonomous neighborhood. The district is covered in graffiti and has a hippy vibe to it.

This is part of the amazing man-made skate park near the entrance of Christiania. There is also a massive skate bowl located inside the building shown above.

We got to attend the Red Bull Cliff Diving event that was held at the Opera House in Copenhagen. Divers from all over the world competed and thousands of locals and tourists came to watch. The Divers would jump off of the top of the Opera House into the Port of Copenhagen, which is seen behind us.

An awesome group photo we got in the middle of one of the beautiful canals in Copenhagen.

The canals of Copenhagen are some of the most beautiful canals in the world. I went out one day to capture some pictures of my personal favorites, which can be seen above and below.

Noma has been rated the best restaurant in the world for multiple years running. Luke and I first found out about Noma through Anthony Bourdain's travel show called Parts Unknown. Ever since then, we have talked about going to eat at it some day. Unfortunately, you have to make a reservation roughly a year in advance and your meal is around $300. Due to these circumstances, we decided it would be better to take a photo in front of it and come back in a few years when we could afford a meal like that.

The one and only time we happened to go to Starbucks, Jack gave his name to get a coffee and the barista decided he needed to be called "Captain jack" instead. We call him "Legend O'Neill" so we thought this was pretty fitting.

This boat ride was by far our favorite part of our stay in Copenhagen. It's called a Go Boat and it has a small motor as well as a table in the middle of it. We bought different kinds of wine, cheese, meat, and crackers for the ride. Although we initially forgot the wine in our hostel room and had to run back and get it, we boated around for 3 hours and had the time of our lives. I would highly recommend this to anyone traveling to Copenhagen. Below are some photos of the highlights from our boat ride through Copenhagen.

An interesting bridge seen along the way.

Don't quite know what we are staring at but I thought this was a cool picture.

When all was said and done, we had an epic day that will forever be remembered.

If you are like me and love food, Paper Island or Papirøen, is the place for you. It is packed with locals and tourists all day and has plenty of killer food and drink options. It's a street food warehouse and a food lover's paradise.

Definitely put this on your to do list when visiting Copenhagen!

On our last day in Copenhagen, Luke and I decided to rent bikes and explore the Meat Packing District. We decided to eat at Warpigs Brewpub. It has about 20 craft beers on tap and BBQ that is to die for. I would highly recommend visiting if you get the chance.

Veal ribs topped with chimichurri sauce served with potatoes and vegetables. Just another great meal I had to share.

Another cool thing that Copenhagen has to offer is their sidewalk trampolines. Even though I probably surpass the weight limit for these, Luke and I waited our turn behind some children to get some cool shots.

We had a killer time in Copenhagen that was filled with many new experiences. I can definitely say that I will be back in the near future. I'm not quite done exploring this beautiful city.
